Safe drinking water is not a luxury ; it is life - Interaction G8 NGO Coordination Group (Etats-Unis)
Recommendations
We urge the U.S. Executive branch to take a strong leadership role at the June 2009 G8 Summit and to call for immediate and invigorated action to address the global need for safe water and sanitation. We request these points to be included in the G8 communiqué :
1. The recognition that sanitation and safe water are fundamental to human dignity and integral to human development. The dire state of the sanitation sector, in particular, threatens all theMillenniumDevelopment Goals (MDGs) and particularly those in health and education.
2. The endorsement of and participation in the Global Framework for Action on Water and Sanitation, which includes a high-level annual review of progress of both donor and recipient government actions, analysis of systemic bottlenecks and remedial policies and action plans.
3. A commitment to encourage developing country governments to develop a national water and sanitation plan for their country.
4. A commitment that no credible national water and sanitation plan should fail through lack of finance.

El Foro Internacional de Plataformas de ONGs demandó reformas estructurales al G20
25 de diciembre de 2011, El Grupo de Facilitación del Foro Internacional de las Plataformas nacionales de ONGs elaboró un documento donde se demanda que el G20 lleve a cabo reformas fundamentales y de largo alcance del sistema económico mundial, que aseguren un desarrollo inclusivo y sostenible y que ofrezca oportunidades reales para todos los ciudadanos. Miembros del Grupo también participaron en una reunión de trabajo que el presidente Nicolás Sarkozy sostuvo con representantes de ONGs. -

8 de Dezembro de 2011, Líderes do G20 estão reunidos em Cannes para discutir diversos temas globais, inclusive sobre a possibilidade de uma segunda crise econômica mundial em apenas 3 anos. -

Group de Facilitation du Forum International des Plateformes d’ONG : en appelons au G20 pour produire des réformes d’envergure du système économique mondial
7 décembre 2011, Membres du Forum International des Plateformes d’ONG, représentant des milliers d’organisations de la société civile de pays appartenant ou non au G20, en appelons au G20 pour produire des réformes d’envergure du système économique mondial. Des réformes qui vont garantir un développement inclusif et durable et fournir des opportunités réelles à tous les citoyens. Avant G- 20 membres du Group du Facilitation a également participé à la réunion de travail du president Sarkozy avec les ONG. -
